Debbie Aller Named To America East All-Academic Team

Junior Debbie Aller (Stony Brook, N.Y.) of the Stony Brook University women's soccer team has been named to the 2009 America East All-Academic team, the conference office announced on Wednesday. Aller appeared in 19 games this season for a Seawolves squad that advanced to the America East tournament semifinals for the third straight season. [+]

Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Overtime Thriller To Boston University In America East Semifinals

Freshman Sa'sha Kershaw's (Baltimore, Md.) goal in the 15th minute gave the Stony Brook University women's soccer team a 1-0 lead but Jessica Morrow scored the game-tying goal in the 73rd minute and Emily Pallotta then scored the game-winner with 2:24 left in overtime to lead the top-seeded Boston University Terriers to a 2-1 victory over the No. 4 Seawolves in an America East semifinal game on Sunday afternoon at Nickerson Field. Senior goalkeeper Marisa Viola (Cutchogue, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the game for the Seawolves. [+]

Women's Soccer Set To Square Off Against Boston University in America East Semifinals on Sunday

Stony Brook University's women's soccer team will continue its quest for its first America East championship on Sunday, traveling to take on top-seeded Boston University in the America East tournament semifinals on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The No. 4 Seawolves advanced to the semifinals with a 2-0 victory over No. 5 Albany on Thursday night at LaValle Stadium.
