Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore pitcher Alyssa Struzenberg (Cooper City, Fla.) has been named the Stony Brook Athlete of the Week after going 2-0 this past weekend at the Jacksonville University Tournament.

Struzenberg threw two complete games and also made two relief appearances, earning a save in one of them. She allowed just six hits and two earned runs in 14.2 innings and recorded 10 strikeouts.

On the season, Struzenberg is 4-0 with a 1.62 ERA and 25 strikeouts.

Stony Brook will travel to College Park, Md. to compete in the Maryland Invitational this weekend.
