Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University's softball team has been named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association girls got game All-Academic team, having finished the 2008 season with a team GPA of 3.25. The Seawolves had the 38th highest GPA out of the 103 schools on the list.

The NFCA All-Academic Team list honors high school and collegiate softball teams for their success in the classroom. Stony Brook was one of two America East schools to make the list, with Hartford ranking at 64th.
