Fleury, Struzenberg Named to NFCA Northeast All-Region Second Team

Junior Marissa Fleury (Mahopac, N.Y.) and sophomore Alyssa Struzenberg (Cooper City, Fla.) have both been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Northeast All-Region Second Team, according to a release from the organization Wednesday. Fleury and Struzenberg join five other America East Conference players on the second team. [+]

Softball Headed to Arizona State for NCAA Tournament

Stony Brook's softball team will head to Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz. this weekend to compete in the NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. The Seawolves will face host Arizona State in the first round of the double-elimination regional tournament. Also joining the Seawolves in Tempe will be the University of Hawai'i and Mississippi State. [+]

Softball Wins America East Championship

Sophomore Alyssa Struzenberg (Cooper City, Fla.) threw her second shutout in three days as Stony Brook's softball team won its first America East Championship in team history, beating the University at Albany, 4-0, Saturday. Stony Brook is now guaranteed a bid into the NCAA Tournament, which will be determined Sunday night at 10 p.m. [+]
