Women's Swimming and Diving Tied for Sixth after Day 2 at America East Championships

Boston, Mass. - The Stony Brook women's swimming and diving team is tied for sixth after Day 2 at the America East Championships hosted by Boston University. Rebecca Sayles got three points for the Seawolves when she finished 14th in the 500-yard freestyle. Brittany Whipple continued her strong season, finishing seventh in the 50-yard freestyle. Whipple picked up 12 points and Courtney Teague and Nyisha Green-Washington also picked up points. In the three meter dive, Hailey Lewandowski finished fifth with a score of 234.60, giving the Seawolves 14 points. Stony Brook is tied for sixth with Binghamton with 119 points after Day 2. The finals in the 400-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke are up for grabs on Saturday.
