Dikecligil Named URECA Researcher of the Month

Former women's volleyball player Gulce Nazli Dikecligil (Istanbul, Turkey) '10 was honored by the office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs at Stony Brook University when she was named the URECA Researcher of the Month and granted a fellowship to support her biomedical engineering research. [+]

Volleyball Releases 2009 Schedule

Stony Brook University's volleyball team will face teams from eight different conferences over its 26-match schedule during the 2009 season. The Seawolves 2009 schedule, which was released today by head coach Deborah Matejka-DesLauriers, includes five home America East matches and two opponents who made the 2008 NCAA Tournament. Volleyball Signs Downs to NLI

Stony Brook University's head volleyball coach, Deborah Matejka-DesLauriers, announced the signing of Sally Downs to a National Letter of Intent of Tuesday. A 6-1 middle blocker/swing hitter, Downs hails from Coppell, Texas and was one of 14 players selected to the 17 National All-Tournament team at the 2008 Junior Olympic National Tournament. [+]
